Cast your vote in the 2020 Snobby Awards and win $100 to spend in 50 Amazing Coffee Shops
No sugar coating it – 2020 has been the shittiest year ever.
But I want to end it with a bang. Let’s make this the best Snobbies™ the world has ever seen!
The 2020 Snobby Awards
Aka ‘The Snobbies’, these are awards given to local businesses after a yearly poll of thousands of VancouverCoffeeSnob.com readers.
Last year we had over 5000 votes and it was fascinating to watch the individual shops campaign for their place in the top 10’s.
I’ve changed the awards this year
This year I’m ditching the “Best Brunch” award. It wasn’t ever that popular and quite honestly there are a million other brunch awards out there.
This year I’m switching that out for “Best New Coffee Shop”. This is strictly restricted to shops that have opened in 2020.
The Best Roaster and Best Shop awards will stay though!
Win Some Coffee!
When you vote in this poll there’s an optional field to enter your email address. This will enter you into a draw to win one of the following:
1X $50 voucher to spend in 50 of Metro Vancouver’s best coffee shops. 2X $25 vouchers to spend in 50 of Metro Vancouver’s best coffee shops.
Cast your vote in the 2020 Snobby Awards
Voting CLOSED on the 26th of December.
When are the winners announced?
I’ll be announcing the winners of this poll starting on the 27th of December, ending on the 29th. So keep an eye on social media or better yet, go and sign up for my newsletter and get alerted before anyone else:
It’s Christmas/Holiday season! Right now I really want you to think about how to support local this year. Jeff Bezos and Amazon don’t need any more money in their dragons lair full of gold.
So this year I’ve created gift cards that can be spent in 50 of Vancouver’s best coffee shops. We’re talking Nemesis, Pallet, Prado, Timbertrain, Prototype, Modus and so many more. They can be gifted to your friends, families and loved ones, so you know that the $ you spend is staying local to Vancouver.
To all of you that have supported me on my quest to grow the coffee scene in Vancouver in my own daft little way, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Every single one of you that reached out to me to say they enjoy my childlike writing, terrible grammar and awkward MC’ing has impacted me for the positive. In ways you’ll probably never know.
I started this blog out of boredom and the need for a hobby. It evolved into something way more important than that.
While I own and pay for the site, I’ve always considered this more of a community-owned resource than something I want to hoard for myself.
As far as I can tell it’s now the biggest coffee shop blog in Canada.
I’ve been told over and over that the site is responsible for coffee shops gaining new customers. So I hope that it can provide value for years to come.
