Roaster Central at Espressotec

Roaster Central is Now on the Interwebs!

Cast your mind back a year or so ago. Local coffee equipment company, Espressotec, created the (as far as I know) first mega-roaster experience in their showroom.

Dubbed, Roaster Central, the concept was simple. You go into the Espressotec showroom and head to their designed designated area for roasters to sell bags of their beans

And when I say “roasters” I mean about fifty roasters!

You choose from their huge selection of coffee, that’s broken down into taste types, then brew up three of them at a time yourself. All for free!

The idea is that you get to try loads of different types of coffee then buy whatever bag(s) you enjoyed.

Well, with COVID-19 being the ugly mess that it is, Espressotec has created an online version of this concept.

It’s the same amazing coffee (Perhaps even a wider variety), only you can browse their selections from home and order them right to your door.

“Taking Roaster Central online means our curated selection of coffees is available not just to the locals, but to folks across Canada keen to brew better coffee at home,” says Rob Paton, General Manager at Espressotec. “It’s a natural extension of our desire to make coffee more inclusive and more approachable.”

OK, I’m in, How Do I Buy All the Coffees?

Step 1 – head over to RoasterCentral.ca

Step2 – Choose from their massive selection of beans. You can filter by roast type, level and flavour, or just go straight to the page of the roaster you like and browse their offerings.

Step3 – Get it delivered to your door for free!

One of my favourite parts of the purchase process is that you can use their coffee picker wizard thingie to choose the exact tastes for your palate.

It allows you to specify what kind of coffee you like and it’ll show you a curated list of what they think is suitable for you.

It makes the decision process WAY easier.
