Just in case you missed it, I wrote an article last year entitled 12 Local Coffee Beers You Need to Try/Avoid. It was more than controversial. I had lots of people tell me that I was a moron, that I had no idea what I’m doing and that I should, in the words of one Redditor, “go kill myself”. Jokes on them, I didn’t.

Anyway, the main thing you’ll learn from that article is that I love coffee beer, so I’m extremely happy to see that Vancouver is about to get it’s first coffee beer festival!

Hopwired festival is the brainchild of West Craft, who are made up of industry expert beer brewers, equipment specialists, coffee snobs and might I say, bloody lovely people!

Alright, let’s get into the juicy details, here’s what you can expect:

40 vendors total with fifteen separate coffee beer collaborations between some amazing local roasters and brewers (I’m not allowed to spill the details yet but I’ve seen the list and I’m so excited by the pairings).
As many coffee drinks from various roasters and shops as you can fit into your fat bellies (Espresso drinks provided by ECM Espresso so you’ll likely see some sexy Black Eagle machines kicking around).
Food trucks.
A store to buy your favorite coffee and beer
Custom donuts from Cartems Donuterie.
Aaron from the Cascadian.Beer podcast will be holding live interviews and talks to keep you entertained.
Element H20 will be there making sure you idiots stay hydrated.
Oh, and little old me will be there, presenting an extension of the Snobby awards that are currently happening.
